Savannah Rooftop Elegance

When thinking about weddings in Savannah, we’re struck by grand images of live oak trees, dripping Spanish moss, matching bridesmaid dresses and yards of silk. And while those set the stage for exquisite wedding days, there is also a time and place to take part in quieter celebrations. These intimate unions hold a special place in our hearts with their attention to little details and personal touches that carry such an emotional impact. It was with these thoughts in mind that we planned a photo shoot centered around a small gathering of friends coming together to honor their friends’ love.

Having such an intimate wedding, liberties can be taken to stray away from traditional elements. This can be seen in our choice to place this elopement on the rooftop of one of our favorite restaurants in Savannah. We combined classic fabrics with wooden textures to play off of the treetop scenery.

With the color palette of blues and copper set, we wanted to add a little extra punch to Kelly’s bridal look. Her statement-piece necklace did just that for us. Paired against a gown with clean lines and no frills, it complimented her look perfectly. Additionally, with the simplicity of her gown, we were able to add a dramatic bouquet that didn’t overpower. We carried over the theme of muted colors and dried flowers to create a touch-ably soft look.
